About Me

I grew up in the small town of Evergreen, Colorado, just outside of Denver. Growing up in the Rockies, I developed an appreciation for the finer things in life and cultivated a desire to interpret and express this appreciation.

My earliest memories are of drawing on vacations, plane flights and car rides. I’ve always had a desire to create and to interpret my experiences through a visual communication. I have also always felt an intimate connection with fine art.

My mother is an art collector, which has exposed me to an art-influenced life starting at a young age. All through grade school and then into high school I received many awards and honors for my works in art classes. Some pieces were judged at a statewide level. This interest and understanding all through my adolescence is what motivated me to further my artistic studies at a collegiate level.

I found Western State College in 2003 as a recommendation from a high school art teacher. Gunnison has been my home for the past four years now. I have found Western State College and the Gunnison Valley to be a wonderful area to hone my skills and mature as an artist.

The Gunnison area also offers some of the best angling in the country. I have been fishing since I was a child, and I enjoy my days on the river with friends and family. And during the summer season, I guide for Willowfly Anglers, a full-service fly shop and Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Outfitter in Almont. So most days you'll find me on the river, either floating the Gunnison River or stalking trophy trout on one of the many other rivers and streams here.
